Questions about this page? Call us at (206) 202-8768.
1. Company Information
Deck Builders Seattle · WA Registered Contractor #DBSTTLE287G8. We receive project inquiries and perform our deck projects. A written project agreement identifies the contractor and the agreed scope of work.
Check current registration, bond, insurance and relevant credentials before signing a project agreement.
2. Website Use
Use the website to research deck services, materials and project questions. Content provides general planning information; it is not a site-specific design, safety clearance, binding quote or promise of availability. Do not use the site for unlawful activity, interfere with its operation or misrepresent an inquiry.
3. Service Agreements
Construction requires a separate written agreement with the identified contractor. It should define the scope, materials, itemized price or pricing method, payment schedule, expected dates, site access, changes, permits, inspections and responsibilities.
Sending an inquiry or requesting a call does not sign a construction contract. Changes to work should be documented and accepted through the contractor’s agreed change-order process before additional work proceeds.
4. Estimates and Pricing
An estimate should state its validity period and what could change after inspection or concealed conditions are exposed. We provide a written estimate before work starts, and it states how long it remains valid.
Website cost examples are not binding prices. Material availability, structural condition, access, demolition, disposal, rails, stairs, permits and taxes can affect an actual proposal. Any free-estimate or fixed-price promise must match the written offer.
5. Warranty
The warranty terms for your project are written into your agreement. The signed agreement identifies the warrantor, duration, covered work, transfer rules, remedy and claim process.
Your warranty explains how ordinary wear, maintenance or neglect, third-party alterations, storm or other natural events and manufacturer-covered products are treated. Product warranties and contractor workmanship coverage are separate. The process for reporting a warranty concern is described in the applicable warranty.
6. Permits and Code Compliance
The construction agreement must assign permit applications, fees, inspections and compliance responsibilities. Confirm property ownership or permission to authorize work, relevant site constraints and any required approvals.
Seattle SDCI requirements depend on the deck and site. Decks more than eighteen inches above ground, roof decks and environmentally critical areas can trigger requirements; consult SDCI deck guidance. The website does not grant permit exemptions or approve a design.
7. Payment Terms
Accepted payment methods, any deposit, progress-payment milestones and final-payment conditions are set out in your written agreement. Please do not send a deposit before you have reviewed and signed that agreement.
Financing options are available. Any lender relationship, credit terms, cash discount, processing charge or financing approval is stated separately before you accept.
8. Limitation of Liability
Information on this website is provided as general information about our deck services. Any limitation of liability that applies to your project is set out in your signed agreement.
Your signed agreement defines each party’s responsibilities and any lawful limitations. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
9. Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern, please raise it with us first. Call us at (206) 202-8768 and we will work with you to resolve it.
We aim to resolve any disagreement through direct, good-faith discussion first. Any dispute-resolution provision that applies to your project is set out in your signed construction agreement. These website terms do not create an arbitration agreement or waive a court right.
10. Intellectual Property
Original website text, code and design may not be copied or reused without our permission. Third-party logos, product names and linked materials remain associated with their respective owners.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Updates to website information do not silently rewrite a previously signed construction agreement; that agreement controls its own amendment process.
12. Governing Law
Your project is subject to applicable Washington law, and any choice-of-law or venue provision that applies to it is set out in your signed agreement. These website terms do not impose an exclusive venue or remove rights that applicable law preserves.
